1836 CLASSIC HEAD 1/2C, ORIGINAL PCGS PR66 Red Brown CAC

The PCGS PR66RB grade is well suited to this 1836 Classic Head half cent, Original, which is described with proof finish. Early copper specialists value these issues for die attribution, color, and surface quality as much as numerical grade. Advanced collectors will also note the scarcity profile: only 42 were struck, and it is reported as tied for highest graded. Proof specialists will focus on the depth of the fields, device contrast, and the intact character of the surfaces. It is best appreciated as a carefully preserved representative of a demanding and historically resonant issue.
