The unique, first gold coin made for the United States over 200 years ago, the legendary multi-million dollar Brasher Doubloon, will be publicly exhibited in Baltimore for the first time since Johns Hopkins University sold it a quarter-century ago.

The Brasher Doubloon, a gold coin insured for $6 million, will be publically displayed at the New York Invitational Coin Show, June 30 and July 1.

Made in Manhattan in 1787 by George Washington's neighbor and insured today for $6 million, the legendary Brasher Doubloon, the first gold coin made in the United States, will return to New York City for the first time in more than a century.
