(Burbank, California) -- The unique initials-on-eagle’s-breast Brasher Doubloon, the first gold coin struck in 1787 for the young United States, is featured in a new, six-minute documentary. The educational video entitled, “The First American Coins,” is available free online.
The video was shot during last summer’s American Numismatic Association World’s Fair of Money™ convention in Denver, Colorado and created by The Futures Channel, a Burbank, California company that produces multimedia educational materials. The program uses early American coins including the Brasher Doubloon and the finest known 1792 Half Disme to show real world applications of math and history, and provides information about coin collecting.
