The 1792 Half Disme Donated by Steven Contursi, valued at $250,000, was on display at the ANA Money Show Atlanta. In December 2011, Steven Contursi donated the coin to the ANA museum as his way of giving back to an association that he has always believed in. The ANA’s collection originally featured a 1792 half disme, graded extremely fine, but the coin was stolen from the collection. Steve Contursi donated his 1792 half disme, graded AU58, which was featured at the Atlanta Money Show.

The American Numismatic Association's Edward C. Rochette Money Museum in Colorado Springs, Colo., once again has a 1792 silver half disme in its numismatic collection.

The Edward C. Rochette Money Museum collection now contains a 1792 Half Disme, thanks to the generosity of a California coin dealer.

Historically significant coin valued at more than $220,000.

The tiny, early American silver coin personally authorized by President George Washington 215 years ago, and purchased for a headline-generating record $1.5 million this past summer by a Sunnyvale educational foundation, will make its first Northern California public appearance.

The finest known 1792 half disme, recently purchased for $1.5 million, will be displayed for three days at the four-day Santa Clara Coin, Stamp and Collectibles Expo Nov. 1-3.

A record price of $1.5 million has been set by a private treaty sale of a rainbow-toned 1792 half disme, graded NGC MS-68.
