The legendary King of Siam Proof set was acquired Nov. 1 in a cash deal by Steven L. Contursi, president of Rare Coin Wholesalers of Dana Point, Calif., for a record $8.5 million.

One of the four known proof 1803 Draped Bust silver dollars will be the featured exhibit at the Santa Clara Coin, Stamp & Collectibles Expo in the Santa Clara, California Convention Center, 5100 Great America Parkway, November 17 - 20, 2005.
